Weatherstrip:
Combination of textile and plastic material composed by a hard base (backing) and soft pile using on aluminium grooves (profiles) on the sliding windows and doors for better insulation against noise, rain, dust etc.

USERS:

It is used by manufacturers of window and doors for sliding or compression applications where seal, stabilisation of the aluminium or PVC frames needed.

NEW ELVIS are Greek leading producer of weathersealing technology products for windows and doors.
We manufacture to the highest international standards of quality and performance with tolerances strictly controlled to ensure easy, continuous fitting.

SPECIFICATION:

NEW ELVIS woven pile Weather-stripping is used to help prevention of air filtration and water penetration and reduce the passage of dust, light, sound, and smoke through the window and door. Low co-efficient of friction makes woven pile Weatherstripping particularly suitable for sliding windows and doors but woven pile Weatherstripping is also excellent for compression applications in top-hung, hopper, other casement and tilt and turn windows and doors when fitted into suitable grooves. It is suitable for aluminium, PVC-u and composite windows and doors.

Construction:
NEW ELVIS woven pile Weatherstripping is produced using woven fabrics from multi-filament polypropylene (PP) yarns to give maximum sealing performance. They have extended service life due to the strength, elongation factor and durability of the high quality polypropylene materials used in the weaving construction.

Climatic Range:
NEW ELVIS Weatherstripping is not effected by extremes of temperature and can be used in hot and cold climates. Stabilisers reduce the loss of colour and strength on exposure to strong sunlight.

Properties:

Yarn: Specific gravity, 0.90- 0.91
Moisture retention, less than 0.1 at 65% pH, 70 ^(o)F (21.1 ^(o)C)
Elasticity at Break, 30-60%
Thermal recovery, 85-90% at 10% compression.
Thermal properties: Softening point 150-160 C
Melting point 160-170 C
Polypropylene pile: UV stabilised to combat the effects of strong sunlight.
Reduced friction for easy sliding. Fibres are separate and
will conform to surface variations.
Optimum performance in all weather conditions
Backing: Extruded polypropylene.
Integral bond between fabric and backing.
Locks pile fibre firmly into place to prevent shredding.
Gives a strong, rigid back for easy insertion.
Flexible for smooth reeling and handling.
Wide range of standard backing widths.
Resistance: Highly resistance to abrasion, biological and chemical attack.
Excellent resistance to shrinkage and stretching.
Fire Rating: The Weatherstripping will burn in the presence of a flame but is classed as very
low burning.
On exposure to flame, the fibre will melt and curl away from the source.
Packing: Supplied in a standard range of reel sizes but can be reeled to client's special
requirements, upon request, subject to quantity required.
Pile Colours: Grey, Dark Brown, Black and Natural (white) as standard.

FIN SEAL

Center Fin: Double layer of polypropylene film.
UV stabilised to combat the effects of strong sunlight.
Provides a solid line of protection against air infiltration and water penetration.
Reduce friction for easier sliding.

NEW ELVIS factory is based in Greece, Soufli city at North area of Greece and it is in the accurate point between Europe and Asia and is well served by national and international carriers.
This allows us to swiftly fulfil orders for our Domestic, Europe, East Europe, and middle East markets.
