Ordering system - SIMPLE & ACCURATE.
Example: Type: 68X60 GR
Backing width = A = 6.7 mm
Pile height = B = 60 = 6 mm
Colour = GR=Gray, NT=White, BL=Black, BR=Dark Brown
Select the correct pile height:
Selecting the pile height is different for each application. It depends by the manufacturer how good insulation needs based on the location of the building.
The more compression the WEATHER-STRIP the better insulation BUT also initial force required to open or close the door or window. It is better to use low compression for your applications.
Usually and base on our experience the pile height should be 10-15% more than the aluminium profile's gap.
A recommended calculation is bellow:
Pile Height = (profile gap) + 10% X (profile gap)
For example if the gap between the frame and the window is 6 mm the recommended size for the WEATHER-STRIP is:
Pile height = 6 X 10%X6=6 + 0.6 = 6.6 mm = 6.5 mm and the type is 68X65
Fin Types:
The compression for the fin type is 10% more than the profile gap.
The film normally is same height as the pile but always fin types are based on customer's request.
The code name for fin type is :
68X60F(+1)GR
A=6.7mm B=6 mm Colour=Gray F=fin (+1mm) = fin height 1 mm above the pile height. If there is no number then the pile and film are on the same height. Can be also and (- 1) Lower 1 mm.
